PNB branch in Sagar district looted in broad daylight

Sagar (MP), Feb 25 (PTI) Three unidentified persons todaylooted Rs 3.84 lakh from a branch of Punjab National Bank inMalthon area, close to the border of Uttar Pradesh, policesaid.

The trio came on two motorbikes at around 11.30 thismorning, and after entering the building, forced staff membersto stay inside a side-room, threatening them with acountry-made pistol, said Superintendent of Police V KSuryavanshi.

Robbers also exploded a smoke bomb which caused panic.

Then they decamped with Rs 3.84 lakh cash. Police suspectthat the robbers have crossed into UP.
