New computer centre for legislators in AP Legislature Library
Hyderabad, Feb 25 (PTI) Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddyinaugurated a new computer centre for legislators in theAndhra Pradesh Legislature Library today.
The computer centres has digitised records of Assemblyproceedings since 1956.
Video recordings of the Assembly proceedings from 1996are also available, according to Legislature Secretary S RajaSadaram.
AP Legislature becomes the first in the country afterParliament to have such facility, developed by the InformationTechnology and Communications Department of the stategovernment.
All members of AP Legislative Council and LegislativeAssembly can access the facilities in the new centre.
Training has been provided to legislators in computerusage and all of them are now being given laptops in theongoing Budget session.
Council Chairman A Chakrapani, Assembly Deputy SpeakerNadendla Manohar, several ministers, legislators and officialsattended the function.
