MP HC directs SP to find out missing Pardhi girl

Jabalpur, Feb 25 (PTI) Hearing a habeas corpuspetition here today, Madhya Pradesh High Court directed theSuperintendent of Police (SP) of Betul district to produce inthe court on March 1 a minor girl who has gone missing.

The directives were given by the division bench ofJustice K K Lahoti and Justice Sushma Shrivastava on a habeascorpus petition filed by one Alsi Pardhi.

The petitioner alleged that her community members wereliving in a camp at Multai''s Government Excellence School andon February 10, forest officials reached there and took awayher 14-year-old niece, Rajnandini with them and also made anunsuccessful attempt to take away another woman.

The girl has been missing since following which Alsifiled an habeas corpus petition.

The court directed the SP Betul to locate the girland produce her in the court on March 1.
