Mob torches van after accident

Cuttack (Orissa), Feb 25 (PTI) Angry people torched avan in front of a public school here when the vehicle hit aminor girl who sustained serious injuries, the police saidtoday.

������� The driver of the vehicle and another occupant in itwere drunk and they were also carrying ten barrels of countryliquor yesterday, the police said.

������� The girl, identified as Simran, was hit by the vehicleyesterday and she fell into a drain and injured her head,sources said.

She was admitted to a local hospital.

��������Soon the locals beat up the driver and finding thatthe duo drunk and carrying illicit liquor, they set the van onfire.
