In-laws sentenced to 7 yrs'' RI in dowry case
Sheikhpura (Bihar), Feb 24 (PTI) A fast track courttoday sentenced a man and his wife to seven years'' rigorousimprisonment in the dowry death case of their daughter in-lawseven years ago in Seikhpura district of Bihar.
Fast track court judge L L Srivastava held the in-lawsPramod and wife Jaimanti Devi guilty in the murder of theirdaughter in-law Anita and awarded seven years'' RI to both,besides imposing a fine of Rs. 10,000 on each.
According to prosecution, Anita was murdered by theconvicted duo for want of dowry.
The victim''s family members had lodged an FIR at apolice station in Bihar''s Sheikhpura district against thein-laws.
