Govt not serious on AMU''s study centre in Kishanganj
Patna, Feb 24 (PTI) The opposition RJD today chargedthe state''s NDA government with lacking commitment to set upthe proposed study centre of the Aligarh Muslim University(AMU) as it was yet to acquire land for the purpose.
The proposed study centre at Kishanganj was yet to getoff the blocks even as these study centres in some otherstates were already functional, RJD MLC Md Tanveer Hassan saidin the legislative council.
Hassan also asked the state government to announce atimeframe for land acquisition for the proposed AMU studycentre and completion of infrastructure works for theproject.
He also demanded that 16 hostels constructed acrossthe state for minority students be handed over to the allottedbeneficiaries at the earliest.
Another RJD MLC Gulam Gaus also raised the twin issuesand charged the state government with being apathetic towardseducation of the minorities.
