Delhi govt to refurbish major revenue collection offices

New Delhi, Feb 24 (PTI) The Delhi Government will soonrefurbish all major revenue collection offices across the cityto provide tax payers a clean and comfortable ambience.

Delhi Revenue Minister A K Walia issued a directionasking the department to refurbish all the offices of DeputyCommissioners (Revenue), Additional Deputy Commissioners andSub-Registrar offices at the earliest.

Walia instructed the department to chalk out acomprehensive plan to give a facelift to all major revenuecollection offices.

"It will also go a long way in improving work culture andputting an end to delay in disposal of the cases," he said,suggesting introduction of a computerised system in therevenue offices through which people can get details about taxrelated issues.

He also asked the top officials to submit a detail reporton management of land allotted to various institutions andagencies and also about land under various Gram Sabhas. PTIMPB
