Chg govt to transfer probe into journalist''s murder to CBI
Raipur, Feb 24 (PTI) Chhattisgarh Chief Minister RamanSingh today said that the government has decided to hand overthe case related to the murder of a Bilaspur-based journalistof a national daily to the CBI.
Addressing the state Assembly, Singh said the murder ofSushil Pathak, who was working with ''Dainik Bhaskar'' was aserious matter and therefore the probe will be transferred toCBI.
Pathak was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Bilaspurtown last December. Police later arrested one Badal Khan, arealtor, who allegedly confessed to his involvement in thecrime.
However, police haven''t been able to find Pathak''s mobileand the weapons used in the crime.
The opposition had alleged in the Assembly that policewas clueless and investigation was not making any headway. PTISNG KRK VKV VKV
