BJP flays Sena spokesperson over criticism of Gadkari

Mumbai, Feb 25 (PTI) Taking umbrage at Shiv Sena leaderNeelam Gorhe''s criticism of party president Nitin Gadkari''sstatement on the issue of roping in MNS to defeat Congress-NCP, BJP today advised its oldest alliance partner that it hadno right to launch a diatribe against its chief.

"Gorhe has no right to criticise Gadkari. She did notbother to even get information on what Gadkari said on theissue before she launched an attack on him," state BJPspokesperson Madhav Bhandari said here.

"Gorhe is crazy for publicity and the language she usedagainst Gadkari is highly objectionable," Bhandari said in astatement issued this evening.

Referring to BJP leader Gopinath Munde''s suggestionearlier this month of a tri-party alliance to defeat theCongress-NCP government in Maharashtra, Gadkari had yesterdaytold reporters here that the issue would be discussed in theBJP core committee meeting.

In her reaction, Gorhe had said "the BJP presidentshouldn''t have spoken of the alliance again. Sena leaders haverepeatedly rejected the idea." PTI VT VKV
