Three killed, five injured in boiler explosion

Lucknow, Feb 24 (PTI) Three labourers of a plywoodfactory were killed and five others injured when a boilerexploded in Alambagh area here, police said today.

The incident occurred around 2 am last night when theboiler of Samrat Plywood Factory exploded due to excess steamin Vijay Khera industrial area, killing one labourer on thespot, they said.

Police said that while one labourer died in thehospital, another one was found dead near the boundary wall ofthe factory.

Those killed two were identified as Pratap Singh (50),Nanke (35) and Ashok Sonker (40), they said, adding that theinjured were admitted to the hospital.
