Son says Gaddafi wants to remain Libya's 'Big Father'
London, Feb.24 (ANI): One of the seven sons of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi has revealed that the tyrant wants to stay on as the "Big Father" of Libya in spite of the unrest that is spreading across the country.
According to Sky News, Saadi Gaddafi has told the Financial Times that his father expects to be the "big father" advisor to any new regime in the country.
He said his father was prepared to work with a new order despite the fact he is rapidly losing his grip on the country.
Saadi Gaddafi told the FT the country's current unrest was like a "positive earthquake" that is paving the way for much-needed reform.
Meanwhile, the Arab League has barred Libya from attending meetings of the bloc until it ends its crackdown on protesters, which it said was a violation of human rights.
Nearly 300 people have been killed during the unrest in the oil-rich nation, according to a partial count by Human Rights Watch. (ANI)
