B''lore Traders to go on indefinite strike from Feb 28
Bangalore, Feb 24 (PTI): The Bangalore Traders'' ActionCommittee will go on an indefinite strike from February 28 byclosing the Agriculture Produce Marketing Centre yard,opposing the government''s move to issue licence to Metro Cashand Carry to deal in 112 agriculture commodities.
Despite repeated appeals by Federation of Karnataka Chamberof Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) to cancel or withdraw thelicence given to the retail major, "no action has been taken"the Committee said in a statement today.
In view of the prevailing situation, the Committee hasdecided to give a call for the strike, the statement said. PTIBH MSR APR
