Bangalore police baton charge cricket fans
Bangalore , Feb 24 (ANI) : Bangalore Police baton - charged hundreds of cricket fans at the Chinnaswamy Stadium here , as they queued up to buy tickets for the India -England World Cup match on Thursday.
The incident happened when the crowd tried to break the designated queue.
The match is scheduled to be played on Sunday.
Meanwhile the International Cricket Council (ICC) has written a letter to Sharad Pawar, the Chairman of the World Cup Central Organising Committee, on ticket sale issue.
On Wednesday, Kyazoonga, the official ticketing partner for the event crashed when the tickets for the match went on sale.
The stadium can accommodate only 40,000 people. (ANI)
