6 vehicle thieves arrested in Delhi

New Delhi, Feb 23 (PTI) Six vehicle thieves werearrested in the capital in separate cases and 11 vehicles havebeen recovered from them, police said today.

Three men -- Talib (30), Kamil (25) and Raunak (28) --were apprehended from Kondli area on February 17 on a tip off,O P Mishra, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East), said. Sixstolen cars were recovered from them.

"They were involved in car jacking on Highways. Talibsaid he was also into buying stolen vehicles at low cost andafter preparing fake documents sells them at a higher price,"Mishra said.

In the second case, three youths -- Jatin Vasudev(27), Mithun Rai (23) and Upender (23) -- were arrested fromMalavya Nagar recently.

An autorickshaw and four motorcycles, all stolen, wererecovered from them, H G S Dhaliwal, Deputy Commissioner ofPolice (South), said.
