Teenager falls prey to neighbour's advances

New Delhi, Feb 23: The capital continues to prove unsafe for women. Yet another Delhi teenager has been reportedly raped by her neighbour. According to sources this year, over 40 rape cases has been reported in Delhi.

A teenage girl has been abducted and raped by her 55-year-old neighbour. The accused, who has been identified as Dhirpal, gave drugged food and repeatedly raped the victim by taking her to a town in Moradabad (Uttar Pradesh), officials said.

Police said that the accused had allegedly taken the victim to Moradabad, after drugging her on Feb 15.

A police official said, "The victim and Dhirpal were neighbours. As he lives alone, the girl's family used to send food to his house. The girl used to bring the food to him. On Feb 15, he offered some food laced with sedatives to the victim."
