Land to be identified for housing colonies for scribes

Jammu, Feb 22 (PTI) The state urban development wouldbe approached to identify suitable land for developing housingcolonies for journalists in Srinagar and Jammu cities.

The decision to this effect was decided at a meetingof officers of Information department chaired by PrincipalSecretary to Chief Minister, B Vyas here today.

The meeting decided that J&K Bank and universitieswould be suggested to route the advertisements through theInformation department.

Guidelines will be framed for granting state awards tomedia persons as well as for providing accommodation to themin New-Delhi.

The guidelines will be framed in consultation with thedirectorate of Information.
