Court serves notice on BSP MLA

Lucknow, Feb 22 (PTI) The Lucknow bench of Allahabadhigh court has issued notices to BSP MLA from Dixir andcommissioner Devipatan division directing them to appearbefore it on March 8 in connection with the suspension of afair price shop owner''s licence.

Justice Rajeev Sharma passed this order on a writpetition filed by one fair price shop licencee Satya Prakashwho alleged that his shop''s licence was first suspended byGonda''s district magistrate at the behest of MLA RameshGautam who wrote a letter to the official asking him to do so.

The petitioner filed an appeal against the suspensionorder before the commissioner Sachhidanand Pathak and hestayed the same.

He said that the MLA again wrote a letter to thecommissioner and the latter dismissed the appeal of thepetitioner.

The court , after examining the records, found thatboth the letters of MLA were present, after which it issuednotice to Gautam court passed the above order.
