Bill on agriculture land in offing

Jammu, Feb 22 (PTI) The Jammu and Kashmir governmentwill bring a legislation to control coversion of agricultureland into other activities in the coming budget session of thestate assembly.

This was stated by Minister for Rural Development andParliamentary Affairs Ali Mohammad Sagar while addressing ameeting of a Cabinet sub-committee here today.

The sub-committee was constituted to check conversionof the agriculture land into other activities and prepare adraft bill in this connection.

"The government will bring a legislation to controlthe conversion of agricultural land into other activities inthe coming budget session," Sagar said.
