Amarinder Singh a directionless leader: Sukhbir

Majitha (Amritsar), Feb 22 (PTI) Punjab Deputy ChiefMinister Sukhbir Singh Badal today lashed out at stateCongress President Amarinder Singh for his statement that nodevelopment had taken place under the Akali regime in thestate, saying he is a directionless leader.

"He is a visionless, directionless leader with no visionfor development of the state," Badal said addressing agathering of villages around Majitha.

"Amarinder cannot be blamed lack of knowledge aboutthe state as he remained out of state for long years and wasoblivious of ground level development," he said when asked tocomment on charges levelled by the former Chief Minister thatno development had taken place under the Akali regime.

He said that the SAD-BJP government had adoptedpro-people model of governance and put the state on the pathof development.

He said that despite financial constraints, the stategovernment accelerated development.

When asked to comment on his estranged cousin and formerstate Finance Minister Manpreet Badal''s possibility offloating a new party, Badal said that an old party likeShiromani Akali Dal wont be affected by such new outfits. PTICORR SUN
