Six farmers injured in PAC firing
Greater Noida, Feb 21 (PTI) Six persons were injuredtoday in Bhatta Parsol village here, when Provincial ArmedConstabulary personnel fired at agitating farmers, who weredemanding better compensation and amendment in the landacquisition act.
According to PAC, they resorted to firing afterfarmers held one of their men hostage and damaged officialvehicles. Later, Janta Dal (United) chief Sharad Yadavintervened and got the PAC man released.
However, farmers claimed that the firing wasunprovoked.
Injured were taken to a hospital, from where threeleft after dressing of wounds, while others were admitted. PTICORR
