Pak movie stars to play cricket in US to strengthen country's image
Karachi, Feb 22 (ANI): In order to strengthen the positive image of the country, a Pakistani showbiz stars' cricket team will play Twenty-20 matches in the United States.
Prominent TV actor and team leader Sajid Hassan announced on Monday that the showbiz team will visit the US in coming July under the title of 'Pak-US Goodwill Tour'.
This tour will be organised by Musick World, an entertainment company working in the US for last 10 years, the Daily Times reports.
Hassan said that the main objective of this 10-day tour was to strengthen the positive image of Pakistan in the US. During the visit, problems of Pakistani citizens will also be discussed.
He said that Pakistani showbiz team would play four matches with four top-level teams of the US.
Pakistani team would be comprised of acting, cricket, singing and comedy superstars including Humayun Saeed, Humayun Naz, Adnan Siddiqui, Shoaib Muhammad, Shakeel Siddiqui, Faisal Qureshi, Ejaz Aslam, Saleem Sheikh, Javed Sheikh and others.
He further said that Inzamam-ul- Haq, Atiqa Odho, Teena Sani and other stars and cricketers were also being contacted for joining the tour. (ANI)
