Missing drugs recovered
Agra, Feb 21 (PTI) Drugs worth over Rs one crore, whichhad reportedly gone missing during transportation from Meerutto Indore, were recovered from a godown in Dauki area nearhere, police said today.
The drugs worth Rs 1.78 crore had been loaded on to atruck in 1,148 cartons on February 8 at Meerut for delivery atIndore. However, the vehicle, belonging Shri Transportcompany, did not reach its destination till February 16, afterwhich a complaint was lodged with the police, they said.
A joint team of Agra and Meerut Police yesterday tracedthe to Dauki, 30 km from here.
However, only 438 cartons of the medicines were recoveredfrom the godown, police said, adding that search is on to nabthe truck driver who is absconding.
