Yamaha Music expects 20-30 pc rise in turnover in 2011-12
Ahmedabad, Feb 20 (PTI) Yamaha Music India Ltd, part ofthe Yamaha Corporation Worldwide, today said that it expects20-30 per cent increase in turnover for the year 2011-12.
"We currently have 14 music squares for sale of Yamahamusical instruments. We plan to increase the number of suchmusic squares to 20 by the end of 2011-12," manager, YamahaMusic India Ltd, Shinsuke Misumi said here.
Misumi was here for the opening of the Yamaha AV Square,a showroom exclusively for company''s high-end Audio-Videoproducts.
He said that following the expansion next year, theturnover, which is likely to be around Rs 100 crore last year,was expected to increase by 20-30 per cent.
Misumi said that besides music square, the company wouldalso be opening two new AV squares in Delhi and Mumbai nextyear. Yamaha presently has four AV squares in Kolkata,Gurgaon, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad.
When asked why Yamaha had chosen Ahmedabad for setting upmusic and AV squares, Misumi said that it was because peopleof Gujarat spend more on high-end electronics and musicsystems.
Yamaha musical instrument product range includes piano,guitar, keyboard, drum set and other professional audioproducts.
