Rains lash Rajasthan, cold conditions prevail

Jaipur, Feb 21 (PTI) Rains revived cold conditions inparts of Rajasthan where Baswa recorded 18 mm of rainfall.

Hailstorm and thunder showers lashed Jaipur, Bikaner,Dausa, Tonk, Karauli and a few other places in the state lastnight.

Alwar, Kathumar, Neemrana, Bayana, Alwar, Virat Nagar,Amber received 10 mm rainfall, while Dholpur and Sriganganagarreceived 5 mm, according to MeT department.

Churu recorded 4mm rainfall followed by Pilani with3mm and Bharatpur with 2 mm, while capital city Jaipur withother districts Sawaimadhopur, Bikaner and Sikar receivedscant rainfall.

Rains triggered by western disturbances broughtmercury down by a few degrees in the state. Night temperaturesin several places were recorded in the range of 7.9 degreesCelsius to 16 degrees Celsius.
