People dance in jubilation over Kasab''s verdict

Mumbai, Feb 21 (PTI) The verdict of the Bombay HighCourt confirming the death penalty to the Pakistani terroristAjmal Kasab in the 26/11 terror attack case, was todayreceived by the people with bursting of fire crackersand distribution of sweets.

As soon as the news about the confirmation of deathsentence on Kasab broke, members of public danced injubilation outside the High Court.

Members of Mumbai Youth Association (MYA), an NGO,danced happily, burst fire crackers and distributed sweets.

Hailing the verdict as the victory of people, MYAPresident Pradeep Bhavnani said Kasab deserved the harshpunishment for killing innocent persons.

Bhavnani said Government Counsel Ujjwal Nikam did agood job by nailing Kasab in the crime. He also demanded thatKasab be hanged as early as possible.

Some persons also burst crackers outside a hotel inSouth Mumbai where Nikam has been put up. A native of Jalgaon,Nikam stays in the hotel during his visit to the city.
