Man kills wife and son, attacks mother

Krishnagiri (TN),Feb21 (PTI) A man allegedly murderedhis wife and five-year-old son and also attacked his mothernear here, injuring her seriously, police said today.

The man, Periaswamy (35), a farmer at T Kothapalli villagein the district, allegedly killed his son by stabbing him witha knife around 5 am and later murdered his wife using asickle.

His mother,who tried to prevent her son from attackingthem,was also hacked with the sickle and she fell unconscious.

Periaswamy�s daughters, aged 11 and nine, ran away from thehouse on seeing him attacking the others. After committing thecrime, Periyaswamy fled, police said, adding, the motivefor the murders were not known.

His mother has been admitted to hospital.
