Bus plunges off cliff, 11 dead

Nan, Feb 21 (TNA) At least 11 people were killed and20 others were wounded after a tour bus slid off a cliff atSong Kwae District in Thailand''s northern Nan Province.

The tragic incident occurred when the tour bus wascarrying teachers from Mae Sai District in Thailand''s northernChiang Rai Province to Nan. The bus then plunged into theover-100-metre-deep Doi Ji Cliff. Rescue operations have beencontinuing with difficulties.

The victims were reportedly teachers from Baan RaiKhao Thep Kanchana Upatham School who were on a farewell tripwith a group of their colleagues who had transferred to workin Nan. (TNA)
