Boy rescued from kidnappers, 4 arrested

Lucknow, Feb 20 (PTI) The Special Task Force todayrescued a three-year-old boy, who was kidnapped nearly afortnight ago in Fatehpur district, and arrested four personsin this connection, officials said here.

Mohdammad Asad went missing from his Ismailganjlocality in Fatehpur district on February 4 and later a ransomcall was received by his parents demanding Rs 50 lakh, theysaid.

During investigation it was revealed that though callswere being made from different places, the boy was kept at asecluded place in Fatehpur district.

"Acting on a tip off the STF carried out raid at anabandoned house in Patel Nagar locality and rescued Asad andarrested two persons Adil and Arif," officials said.

During interrogation the two accused revealed that themain conspirator Anwar Hakkani used to work at Asad''s uncleplace, they said.

On the basis of revelation made by two, the STF teamlater arrested Anwar Hakkani and Mohd Amir in this connection.
