Baba Ramdev must prove financial transparency: Digvijay Singh
Kanpur, Feb.21 (ANI): Senior Congress leader, Digvijay Singh on Monday said yoga guru Baba Ramdev should prove that money used to make his ashram is not black money and tax has been paid on it.
While condemning the abusive language used against Baba Ramdev by lawmaker Ninong Ering, Singh said: "Abusive words should not be used against anyone. I strongly condemn that, but one thing is sure that we appreciate guru Ramdev for supporting the cause of bringing black money back."
" But he should also clear and should be able to prove that whatever he used in making his assets or in the construction of his ashram should be tax-paid and not black money," he added.
Baba Ramdev was in Arunachal Pradesh for a yoga camp, where he was running a campaign against corruption, when Erring reportedly abused him. (ANI)
