Abducted assistant station master set free
Medininagar (Jharkhand), Feb 20 (PTI) The assistantstation master of Keteki railway station in Latehar districtwas let off early today by a gang of four criminals, policesaid.
"The gang of four criminals freed assistant stationmaster Ajay Kumar Ekka following intensive combing operationlaunched by the CRPF, the Railway Protection Force and thedistrict police," the Deputy Superintendent of Police ofLatehar''s Barwadih area, Ashwini Kumar, told newsmen.
Stating that Ekka was kidnapped for ransom, Kumar saidthe security men searched the forests bordering Palamau andLatehar districts and secured Ekka unharmed, after he wasabducted him in the wee hours yesterday.
