Allahabad, Feb 21 (PTI) The parents of Aarushi Talwartoday moved the Allahabad High Court challenging a CBI courtorder passed earlier this month whereby they have been accusedof the murder of their teenaged daughter and domestic help,Hemraj, three years ago.
The petition, filed by Aarushi''s parents Rajesh Talwarand Nupur Talwar, has challenged the CBI court order ofFebruary 9 whereby the couple have been accused of havingmurdered their daughter and the domestic help besides engagingin criminal conspiracy and destruction of evidence.
According to the Talwars'' counsel Gopal Chaturvedi, thepetitioners have submitted that the CBI court had passed itsorder "without taking into consideration the objectionssubmitted by us".
The case is likely to come up for hearing on Wednesday,February 23.
Aarushi was found dead inside her Noida residence in May2008 with her throat slit and the body of Hemraj was recoveredlater from the terrace.
The CBI, which was entrusted with the investigation inthe case following an uproar over alleged shoddy probe by theUttar Pradesh police, had recently submitted its closurereport before the special CBI court at Ghaziabad wherein theTalwar couple were not not named as suspects.
However, the court decided to proceed with the trialagainst the couple observing that there was "enough evidence"against them.
