12-hour bandh in Rourkela
Rourkela, Feb 21 (PTI) A 12-hour bandh was todaycalled by the Sundargarh Sub-ordinate Employees Associationseeking release of abducted Malkangiri collector R V Krishnaand a junior engineer from the Maoists.
Educational institutions, shops and businessestablishments remained closed and vehicles were were off theroads in the town, sources said.
Though government offices, banks and courts remainedopened but with thin attendance.
However, there was no impact of the today''s Maoistcalled Orissa bandh in the district.
Elaborate police arrangements have been made in thedistrict to avoid any untoward incidents, sources said. PTISCP SKN
