Seven die after drinking spurious liquor

Samastipur (Bihar), Feb 19 (PTI) Seven villagers diedand another 10 fell sick here after consuming spurious liquor,police said today.

Several villagers consumed the liquor, after whichfour women died last night at Kashipur under Sadar policestation area, police said, adding that another three personsbreathed their last at a government hospital.

Ten others fell sick after consuming the liquor andwere being treated at a nearby hospital, they said.

Five of the deceased have been identified as Ashok Rai(40), Shobha Devi (45), Chinta Devi (60), Rajni Devi (56) andSanju Devi (50), they said.

The district authorities have ordered a probe. PTICORR AJK RG
