Royal Wedding: William, Middleton & 1,900 guests!

Prince William
London, Feb 20: St James' Palace said on Sunday, Feb 20, that more than 1,900 guests will attend the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. Sources in Palace reported that invites have been sent out a week ago and they are on their way to the honourable guests.

The invitations cards for the Royal Wedding scheduled for 29 April, 2011 have been issued in the name of the Queen. William's office said about 1,000 guests will be the family and friends of the prince, his bride and their parents.

Leaders from different nations are expected to attend the wedding. Media reported that England footballer David Beckam and wife Victoria Beckham were also invited.

Mean while, Estibalis Chavez, a 19-year-old fan who has protested outside the country's embassy in Mexico City for 10 days demanding an invite, is again dumped by the royal officials. Britain's Foreign Office said that royal officials had sent a regret to Estibalis Chavez for excluding from the guests list.

The invitation message reads, "The Lord Chamberlain is commanded by the Queen to invite [name] to the marriage of his Royal Highness Prince William of Wales KG with Miss Catherine Middleton at Westminster Abbey on Friday 29 April 2011 at 11.00am."
