Retired army officer attacked by security guard
Ghaziabad, Feb 20 (PTI) A retired army officer and his16-year-old grandson were allegedly attacked by his securityguard and his wife here, police said today.
Retired Major S N Mukharjee (76), who runs a securitycompany, and his grandson were severely beaten up yesterday inhis house in Chiraneev Vihar by the security guard and hiswife, who were living in the same house for the last eightmonths, the police said.
Mukharjee''s daughter Sharmila found him and her sonunconscious when she came to the house in the evening.
Both were rushed to a private hospital where they areundergoing treatment.
After the preliminary investigation, police have ruledout robbery as the motive behind the attack.
Police have prepared sketches of the security guard,Anil, and his wife Sunita, who escaped after the incident andare absconding.
A case has been registered and investigations are onto find the exact motive behind the attack, the police said.
