No question mark on Trinamool''s alliance with Congress: Mamata
The Trinamool Congress chief claimed that during its 35-year rule, the CPI(M)-led Left Front has stalled all thedevelopment and closed job avenues for the youth.
"They have closed 55,000 large industries, 1.35 lakhsmall factories and thriving industrial townships likeDurgapur and Kalyani have been wasted under their rule,"Banerjee said, alleging that the Left is putting obstacles insetting up railway factories in the state.
Alleging that during its 35-year rule, the CPI-M hasindulged in several mass killings, she said, "If we come topower, we will ensure trial of the accused in every case."
Noting that the Centre has been providing funds forseveral development projects in the state from minoritydevelopment to roads and new buses under JNNURM project, shesaid the Left Front government is indulging in falseadvertisements in the media claiming its sole contribution.
She also criticised the state government for high taxrates, stating while the Centre is responsible for price rise, the state also has a large contribution by way of exorbitanttax rates on general people.
"But keeping in mind the hardship of the poor people,we have not raised railway fares once even," she said.
Banerjee also criticised the Left Front for the state''sinactive police and promised to let the police work"impartially without interference".
