Kin booked for clubbing man to death

Bundi, Feb 20 (PTI) Five members of a family, includingtwo women, have been booked on charges of clubbing to death a55-year-old man at Baaseni village here, police said.

The victim, identified as Sohan Lal Bharti, was beatento death by his nephew Khemraj, his mother, wife and brothersManoj and Ganesh following an altercation over Bharti''s cattlestraying into the field of the assailants last afternoon,Hindoli police Circle-in-Charge (CI) Rajesh Choudhary said.

The five accused have been booked under IPC sections 302(murder) and 34 (joint liability in the doing of a criminalact), he said.

According to police, Khemraj and the other four familymembers attacked Bharti with wooden sticks following a heatedexchange of words. The victim succumbed to his injuries on wayto hospital.

His body has been handed over to his family afterconducting postmortem, the police said. PTI CORR NSK
