Escaped undertrial nabbed

Lucknow, Feb 19 (PTI) An undertrial, who escaped fromthe district jail with eight others last year, was todayarrested in Meerut district, an official police spokesmansaid.

Mobin, who has nine cases against him and carries acash reward of Rs 15,000, was arrested by special operationsgroup from Transport Nagar locality, the spokesman said.

The undertrial escaped from Meerut district jail witheight other inmates in July last year and was on the run sincethen.

While seven had been arrested or killed in encounter,Mobin and Vijay were still absconding, the spokesman said. PTIAVA PG
