Digvijay says Pachouri alone not responsible for poll debacle

Guna (MP) Feb 20 (PTI) Congress General Secretary,Digvijay Singh said here today that the Madhya PradeshCongress Chief Suresh Pachouri alone cannot be held responsibefor the recent debacle in the by-polls in two assemblyconstituencies in the State.

"It is not wise to hold only State Congress PresidentSuresh Pachouri responsible for the party''s defeat in the twoconstituencies. We too are responsible for it," Singh toldreporters at the airstrip here on his way to his hometownRaghogarh.

Criticising state Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan,Singh said that he was giving false assurances to thefarmers on waiving their loans.

Responding to a query, he said that the state governmentwas holding the Antyodaya Melas to take credit for welfareschemes being run by the Central government.
