Nepalese flees after poisoning elderly couple

Dehradun, Feb 18 (PTI) A Nepalese national, working asa domestic help, decamped with cash and expensive watchesafter poisoning an elderly couple here, police said today.

The incident came to light when the in-laws of thecouple''s son reached their home at posh Guru Teg Bahadur Roadyesterday and found them in an unconscious state.

The two were admitted to a hospital where theircondition is normal, they said.

Retired engineer S C Gupta (72) and his wife Kanta(70), whose two sons work in Dubai, had kept Shankar as adomestic help only a few days ago.

The domestic help on Wednesday mixed poison in theirfood and decamped with a cash of Rs 20,000 and eight expensivewatches, they said.

Police is preparing sketch of Shankar as the coupleneither had Shankar''s address nor photograph.
