Goswami takes charge as industries and labour minister

New Delhi, Feb 18 (PTI) Newly inducted Delhi ministerRamakant Goswami today took charge of industries and labourdepartments.

Goswami, a three-time MLA and a staunch loyalist ofChief Minister Sheila Dikshit, was inducted into the Councilof Ministers in the Cabinet reshuffle on Wednesday.

Goswami, a journalist-turned-politician, said asLabour Minister he would try to ensure that all thejournalists get their salaries as per recommendation of thewage board.

"I was a journalist. I know the difficulties beingfaced by you. I will try to impress upon the media houses topay salary to you as per recommendation of the wage board," hetold reporters.
