Pvt complaint against Amin Khan for defaming President
Indore, Feb 18 (PTI) A private complaint has been filedin the court here, seeking criminal action against formerRajasthan Minister Amin Khan for his controversial remarksabout President Pratibha Patil.
First Class Judicial Magistrate Tripti Pandey will takeup the complaint, filed by a private security agency ownerOmprakash Mishra, for hearing on March 1.
Addressing the Congress workers at Pali in Rajasthan onFebruary 8, Khan had made some insulting remarks againstPatil, which lowered the dignity of country''s highestpost, Mohan Singh Chandel, complainant''s lawyer, said.
Mishra, in his application, has sought that criminaldefamation proceedings should be launched against Khan.
Chandel said that Rajasthan Chief Minister andChief Secretary too have been made the respondents in thecase.
Khan had said that Pratibha Patil had been rewarded forher loyalty to Congress. After the remarks created a furore,he had to resign as minister.
