Kerala State Civil Service Academy centre at Kozhikode

Kozhikode, Feb 18 (PTI): The regional centre of the KeralaState Civil Service Academy, under the auspices of Centre forContinuing Education Kerala, will start functioning from thisacademic year from June at Kozhikode, an official of theacademy said.

Speaking to mediapersons here, A Pradeepkumar, MLA and MShanthakumar, Head of the Kozhikode Centre, said KeralaEducation Minister M A Baby would lay the foundation stone forthe building for the Centre on February 24.

Pradeepkumar said the academy would provide courses in CivilService Preliminary Examination-2012 training, Foundationcourse for higher secondary and college students, talentdevelopment course and coaching class for National TalentSearch examination for eighth standard students.

The launch of the Centre would help students from northernKerala, he said, they now have to depend on the Academy Centreat Thiruvananthapuram.

The Academy would charge fees only for preliminary coachingfor the civil service examination, he said.
