Four persons die under mysterious circumstances

Kanpur, Feb 17 (PTI) Four persons, including atoddler, were found dead under mysterious circumstances heretoday, a senior police official said.

One person allegedly committed suicide in a field, twodead-bodies, including that of a toddler, were found in acanal while one burnt dead-body of a person was found in awater tank here, DIG Kanpur Rajesh Kumar Rai said.

The first incident came to light when one Ramasrey(28)allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree ina field. He was reportedly mentally upset for the last fewdays and took the extreme step this morning, the DIG said.

In another incident, an unidentified person''s body wasfound from a water tank in Panki area here. Efforts are on toidentify the victim, Rai said.

While the body of a toddler was found floating in acanal here, in a similar incident, another dead body of anunidentified 25-year-old youth was found floating in a canalin Bithur area, he said.

The dead bodies have been sent for postmortem andfurther probe is on, Rai said.
