Vision document to be ready by March 7: Debroy

Ranchi, Feb 16 (PTI) Economist Bibel Debroy, who heads anAdvisory Committee appointed by the Jharkhand government saidthe final report for an action plan covering several welfareissued would be submitted to the government latest my March 7.

"We will submit it latest by March 7," Debroy told PTIwhen asked when they would submit their final report aftergiving a 150-page draft report.

Prominent sectors on which the committee would recommendaction plan in its final report are sustainable utilisation ofnatural resources with stress on improvement of environment,drawing up marketing strategy, infrastructure development,manufacturing growth, reduction of poverty and migration andmeasures to improve and strengthen the state�s financialsituation.

The team, comprising Debroy and economists LaveeshBhandari and Kumar Vishal Singh, today met Chief MinisterArjun Munda and discussed in length on the draft report.

"The meeting went on for four hours, and you imagine howintensive was the consultations," Debroy, who along with hismembers watched the basketball semifinals at the Khelgaonhere, added.

The advisory body was formed by the government last yearto find ways and means, as had been said by the chiefminister, to guide the state on the fast track of economicdevelopment.
