UK's supergran to auction off handbag she battered robbers with on eBay
London, Feb 17 (ANI): The British supergran, who battered robbers with her handbag as they tried to break into a jewellery store, has revealed on a US TV show that the famous bag will be a auctioned off on eBay.
Ann Timson, 71, became an international star after a video emerged of her clobbering four sledgehammer wielding men, as they attempted to break into a Northampton shop, with her handbag.
After the incident she was flown to New York to appear on NBC, where she told a studio audience that her son Andre will be selling the bag online.
She was jokingly asked if it was likely to appear on eBay.
"Andre (my son) is going to deal with something like that and we are going to give the funds to charity," the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.
It is thought that someone will offer hundreds of pounds for the handbag. (ANI)
