Two Sri Lankan tourists die when trekking
Gaya (Bihar), Feb 16 (PTI) Two tourists from Sri Lankadied while trekking in the hills in Bihar''s Gaya and Nalandadistricts today, official sources said.
Sixty-one-year-old woman tourist WidanapathiRananawati collapsed and died when she was trekking inGhumgeshwari hill in Gaya district, sources said.
Wrnudiya Nfelage (76), another Sri Lankan tourist, alsodied following breathlessness while trekking in the Gidhkuthill at Rajgirh in adjoining Nalanda district, the policesaid.
The bodies were brought to Indian Mahabodhi Societyhere.
The district authorities have approached Sri LankanHigh Commission and their relatives to take back the bodies.
They were part of a 50-member team of Sri Lankantourists currently touring Buddhist pilgrim centres in India.
