Road cave-in leads to slow traffic in central Delhi area
New Delhi, Feb 17 (PTI) Traffic movement was disrupteddue to a road cave-in at a central Delhi area this morning,the third such incident here in as many days.
A portion of the road collapsed from Kamal T-pointtowards Liberty Cinema near Karol Bagh, traffic policeofficials said, adding vehicular movement is slow on thestretch.
A part of Mathura Road in front of Delhi Zoo gave in dueto bursting of a water pipeline yesterday. A pit of aboutfive-metre diameter was created due to the road collapse whichalso caused traffic disruption for five-six hours.
On Tuesday, a portion of Hailey Road near Kasturba GandhiMarg caved in during rains.
Officials said traffic movement was slow from K G Margtowards Hailey Road this morning too due to the damaged road.
