Manmohan Singh greets nation on Guru Ravidas Jayanti

New Delhi, Feb 17 (ANI): The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, has greeted the nation on the auspicious occasion of Guru Ravidas Jayanti, which shall be celebrated tomorrow.

Dr. Singh in his message said: "Guru Ravidas ji's message of universal brotherhood and tolerance are very relevant today. His life, a lesson in simplicity and piety, is an inspiration to work for equality and fraternity."

"May Guru Ravidas ji's teachings guide us to build a more just and tolerant society," he added.

Guru Ravidas Jayanti is the birth anniversary of Sant Ravidas, the renowned saint and poet who lived during the period of Kabirdas. (ANI)
