Farmer attempts suicide in Indore
Indore, Feb 16 (PTI) Unable to cope up with the pressuremounted on him by a money lender, an indebted farmer allegedlytried to commit suicide by consuming poison today, familymembers said.
Tejkaran Sisodia, of Palakheda village, is in a criticalcondition and has been admitted to the Maharaja YashwantraoHospital, they said.
Sisodiya has taken a loan of Rs two lakh from oneGajendra Thakur after mortgaging his two bigha (less than oneacre) land, his wife Kala Bai told reporters.
"Thakur was troubling my husband to realise the interestamount for some time," she said.
Meanwhile, police said that it was investigating thecase.
